When music and architecture meet, space itself becomes an instrument. With Metamorphosis, Eloi Calame enters into dialogue with stone, building vast cathedrals of sound before the audience’s ears. Armed with his clarinet and a handful of electronic devices, he creates music that is at once ethereal, immersive and deeply arresting.
Notes emerge from the instrument, unfold through the surrounding space and merge with the acoustic qualities of the venue itself. They ricochet off walls, stretch into monumental echoes and shape a soundscape in constant transformation. Each location becomes a unique resonating chamber, revealed through the musician’s breath.
Faced with this architecture of sound, time itself seems to slow. Audiences are invited to listen differently, to surrender to a flow of vibrations and resonances. Somewhere between contemplation and vertigo, Metamorphosis offers a rare listening experience in which music dissolves into architecture, opening a moment of profound immersion.
